BISMILLAH PLATE, LILA AND TINY

As parents, we’re always finding a way to instill Islam into our child’s daily routine. These Bismillah plates from Lila and Tiny have made the job slightly easier when it comes to meal times as they remind the child to recite “Bismillah” and “Alhamdulillah” before and after tucking in.

Not only are these plates extra durable and BPA free, they are both microwave and dishwasher safe. They’re also deep enough to ensure it can hold plenty of food without splashing out – great for the messy eaters.

The Cons: They do not come with sections which may not be great if your toddler doesn’t like their food mixing.

STAY PUT PLATE, BAMBOO BAMBOO

Bamboo Bamboo is an award winning baby weaning product range that specialises in bamboo stay put plates, bowls, glasses and cute cups too. Not only are their designs aesthetically pleasing for both adults and kids (we are in love with the rabbit and monkey face plates), we love that they are toxin-, BPA- and phthalates-free and the bamboo is anti-bacterial and anti-microbial too.

If you have older kids who don’t need suction plates, the suction is removable so it’s great at growing with the child. The design of the plates are such that they have sections so that even the fussiest of eaters aren’t upset about their food mixing and it allows them to try different foods.

Cost: £16.99 for a plate

The Cons: These are not recommended for the dishwasher or microwave so you’ll need to hand wash them with warm water and heat the food up separately.

For those with older kids, the set also offers a stainless steel utensil kit so that the child feels included at dinner times!
